Leak Sensor

Leak sensors can be place in spaces hard to reach witha  cable....They can save you and your floor in the case of a leak.

The come in many differnt forms and price ranges but essentially all do the same thing.

Marine assistant uses Tuya system for it wireless options, Other options work too but the guides here are based on the Tuya system.

Leak Sensor

Wireless sensor (Tuya)

A wireless leak sensor for reef aquariums detects water leaks and sends alerts remotely. It works using conductive probes that sense moisture; when water bridges the probes, it triggers a signal sent via Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or Bluetooth to a smart device or controller. This is important for early detection of leaks, overflows, or equipment failures, helping prevent water damage, electrical hazards, and costly aquarium losses. It measures the presence of water in critical areas like under the tank, sump, or plumbing connections.

Hardware conection

How its conected

Hardware conection is this case is easy, ensure it is mounted in an area around the tank. I like to mount them towards the lid of the tank as this is where most of the gas exchange will take place.

Ensure its is in a spot where you can change the batteries easyly.

Software setup

Connecting tuya devices is quite simple, you will need to download the app ....

Worldwide link generally takes longer to be delivered but is a little cheaper. Better if you want to bulk order.

Full disclosure: some of these links are affiliate links, clicking them and purchasing though my links helps me support the project.
