Switchable Output (12v)
LED light strips are flexible circuits embedded with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that provide bright, energy-efficient lighting. They can be cut to size and are easy to install with adhesive backing. For aquariums, LED strips can be used to illuminate the sump, making maintenance easier, or to create visual alerts by flashing in response to specific conditions (like high water temperature or low water levels). When connected to Marine Assistant, they can be automated to trigger alerts based on sensor data, providing both functional lighting and real-time status indicators.

How its conected
Conecting the LEDs is super simple they have two wires, one positive and one negative they need to be conected to the switchable outlets on either the Pi-hat or the sensor module respectivly.

Ensure you are using 12v leds and not to exceed the power output of the power supply powering the unit. I have aproximatly 2 meters of white LED strip lighting up my sump and a smaller strip (30cm) in Red for allerts and alarms.​
Software setup
Set-up
If you installed the code correctly when doing the setup you shouldn't have much to do here. On your desktop you should be able to see the outputs and test them directly. If you cant then add the switch card and select the Entity "12v 1" (or 2/3) depending on what you want.

You can also change the name in your dashboard to know exactly what is being controlled.
