Temp & Humidity Sensor
Wireless sensor (Tuya)
A temperature and humidity sensor for reef aquariums measures the air temperature and humidity around the tank. It works using a thermistor (for temperature) and a capacitive sensor (for humidity) to detect environmental changes. Monitoring these factors is important because high humidity can cause condensation, leading to equipment corrosion or mold growth, while room temperature fluctuations can affect the aquarium's water temperature stability. Maintaining proper air conditions helps ensure a stable, healthy environment for both the reef and its supporting equipment.
Hardware conection
How its conected
Hardware conection is this case is easy, ensure it is mounted in an area relivant to the tank. In the sump cabinet would be a good spot. you can however add as many as you like in other areas.

Ensure its is in a spot where you can change the batteries.
Software setup
Checking the Code
Connecting tuya devices is quite simple, you will need to download the app relivant to your sensor, For marine assistant I use Tuya devices so I use their app too. Once you have the app downloaded you will need to put the device into pairing mode and search for it in the app. Follow the instructions supplied.

Once you have it set-up in the app you can move onto adding the device into Home Assistant. First you will need to add the Tuya integration if you havent already.

Go to Settings then Devices and you should see the Tuya icon as pictured.

Click on ADD, You will be presented with a pop-up window where you will need to input your user code.

In the App look for your User id code and input it here.

I found it to be under settings, account and security then towards to bottom of that page.
If you are adding a device after the initial setup you may need to refresh the integration to detect the devices. Go to settings -> Devices & services -> towards the bottom you should find Tuya Click that then the 3 dots and Reload. Your device should now be found and available in your dashboard.

Worldwide link generally takes longer to be delivered but is a little cheaper. Better if you want to bulk order.

Me Personnaly I order most of my stuff from Aliexpress, it normally gets here fairly quickly and tends to be a little cheaper.
If I need something quick I order from amazon.
